Children Residential Operations Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Children's Residential Operations Manager to join our client team based in the Bishop's Stortford area. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of our children's homes. Your leadership skills, coupled with your commitment to the well-being of children, will be integral in maintaining high standards of care and support.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational plans and procedures to uphold organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of children's homes, including staff management and facility maintenance.
  • Train, supervise, and support staff to deliver high-quality care and support for children.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and standards governing children's homes.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks within homes, utilising data-driven insights and proactive measures.
  • Foster positive relationships with external stakeholders to promote collaborative working and achieve optimal outcomes for children.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent preferred.
  • Extensive experience in social work, social care, or related fields.
  • Significant management experience within children's homes or similar settings.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
