gap healthcare is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Registered Manager to lead a Children’s Residential Home in Maidstone. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people who have experienced trauma.
As a Registered Manager, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional care, driving standards and leading a dedicated team. This is more than a job – it’s a chance to create a safe, supportive and empowering environment for young people to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the home to an Outstanding standard, ensuring all regulatory and safeguarding requirements are met.
- Foster an open culture where children feel safe, heard, and respected.
- Promote a safe, structured, and nurturing environment focused on emotional recovery and development.
- Support young people in developing life skills and gaining independence.
- Ensure staff understand and meet the individual needs of every child to promote positive outcomes and holistic development.
- Work with HR to manage all employee relations matters in line with legislation and company policies.
- Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to continuously raise care standards and exceed expectations.
Benefits:
- Competitive Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per year
- Occupancy Bonus up to £750 per quarter
- Ofsted Rating Bonus – £500 for “Good”, £1,000 for “Outstanding”
- 25 days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays (33 days total)

Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in a residential childcare setting as a Deputy/Manager
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare or willing to work towards
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, children’s residential regulations and trauma-informed care
- Confident leadership and team management skills
