gap healthcare is currently recruiting for a new and exciting opportunity on behalf of our client based in Oxfordshire working out of Banbury or Didcot/Abingdon for a experienced Registered Service Manager.
Our client provides support in residential care, supported living, and domiciliary care for individuals with learning disabilities.
Travel requirements:
- Required to travel around a geographical area of Supported Living settings within the Region.
- Be able to stay away from home overnight for reasons such as on-calls, supported persons holidays (only by absolute exception and with prior agreement of line manager), management meetings, emergency cover for shifts, and training.
- The postholder will be assigned to either individual or a group of supported living settings within a defined geographical area – this may change from time to time and location
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality care and support services within the assigned geographical area.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Manage and support front-line staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with supported persons, their families, and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and participate in on-call duties as required.
- Monitor and manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Requirements:
- Experience in a managerial role within the care and support sector.
- Strong understanding of supported living services and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel within the assigned geographical area and stay overnight when necessary.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and participate in on-call duties.
