gap healthcare is currently recruiting experienced Endoscopy Nurse on behalf of our client based in leigh-on-sea. You will have an opportunity to join multi-disciplinary endoscopy team for delivering diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures to referred NHS patients / referrals / direct walk ins.

Our client is situated in the heart of Leigh-on-sea, surrounded by accessible transportation links, only a short walk from Leigh-on-sea station. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide timely response for upper GI bleeds; training will be provided if required. 
• Responsible for delivering diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures to referred NHS and private patients.
• Conducting independent in diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy and gastroenterology outpatient clinics.
• Working with clinical teams in Gastroenterology, Colorectal and Upper GI Surgery & deliver upper- and lower-day case gastroenterology services, principally carried out under local anaesthesia or without sedation.

Requirement

Qualifications:

• Indemnity Certificate (MDU or MPS – Only for Private)
• MRCP or FRCP required
• Preferred accreditation in Gastroenterology, Hepatology or Surgery. Sub-specialty interests such as Bowel Cancer Screening, EUS or ERCP are not required but will certainly be welcomed.

Experience: 3-7 years preferably in healthcare
