My client is well established, and their services are managed to an exceptional standard, providing support for young adults with severe and complex learning disabilities. As a part of the team, you will need to maintain he high standards that are embedded in their values whilst supporting the resident in getting the care required for their needs.

- Salary: £22,880 - £24,960 per annum depending on experience

Responsibilities Support Worker
- Form positive relationships with residents and provide an environment in which they feel free from harm.
- Support residents learning development by rewarding positive behaviours and challenging unacceptable behaviours.
- Ensure each care plan is followed and amended as required to reflect their changing needs.
- Supporting residents with personal care, social activities and day to day life, whilst promoting independence
- Providing a positive role model able to offer advice, guidance, and assistance where appropriate.
Skills Required Support Worker
- Motivated to learn and to go the extra mile.
- Ability to guide and encourage supportive independence when possible.
- Willingness to provide 1:1 support.
- Previous experience in similar role within the care industry
- Basic IT and computer skills
- A commutable distance from Henleaze, Bristol.

- To develop and maintain support plans.
- To oversee training needs of the teams.

- You will need to have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader or a similar senior role within the care industry.
- Experience of supporting service users with Learning Disabilities.
- This role requires a minimum of an NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
- The position requires the candidate to be computer literate, good numeracy and literacy skills, with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Flexibility regarding working hours to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
