gap healthcare is currently supporting their client to recruit a Service Manager to manage their scheme in Billericay. Our client is a large provider of Health and Social services including respite, day centres and outreach services in Essex with good CQC ratings in all their services.

You will be leading the Outreach Service which is based in Billericay which provides opportunities to individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism which aims to promote enablement, empowerment, and exploration. The service has recently been restructured to allow a wider support framework on individuals having different experiences and opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Service Manager who is looking for a new career with a growing established provider. The role comes with a generous starting salary of £37k per annum You will be responsible for leading and the development of the service through creating and implementing annual business plans and liaising with commissioners and various other stake holders to identify and deliver on needs and aspirations. Leading and managing a team including Support Staff and Team Leads. You will be working with individuals the services support, their families and representatives and other professionals in developing and delivering person centred support packages for both young people and adults with learning disabilities and people with complex needs and ensuring that the opportunities are meaningful and learning activities that are available and provided for all service users covering a variety of areas including educational, leisure and personal skill development.
You will be responsible for the management of the service and staff working within it, ensuring support given is assessed, planned, safe and responsive to the needs of individual and groups of individuals we support with and compliant regulatory requirements.
Coaching and directing Team Leads, ensuring teams are engaged and motivated, with any concerns dealt with swiftly and in line with company policies.
You will be providing continued support and motivation to the staff team, to ensure that agreed strategies and standards are maintained within the service at all times and that the team are clear of the expectations placed upon them by both the individuals we support and the organisation as a whole.
Ensure effective communication, both formal and informal, is maintained within the service, ensuring colleagues are kept up to date and aligned with expectations and future strategies.
Continually monitor the performance of the support team against agreed standards, ensuring that those standards are being maintained at all times, working with Team Leads to deliver a high performing and engaged service.
Complete monthly payroll for own service and ensure is accurate and processed within required timescales.
As well as a variety of other managerial team leading duties you will also be required to support out of hours on occasions including participating in the on call rota
You will also be required to work across each of the service/project locations so will require the post holder to have a driver's license and access to a vehicle.
