We are looking for confident, positive, and enthusiastic Registered Manager to supporting 18 male and female adults across three bungalows in a quiet cul-de-sac who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties, and who may display behaviours that challenge. You will be working with, and leading, a large team of Support Workers as well as two Assistant Service Managers to support you in managing this service 24/7. The service is close to Sevenoaks train station and provides good local bus routes. The local town centre is within walking distance and there are numerous local supermarkets.
It is very important for the new Registered Service Manager to have a fun, positive and can-do attitude!
Overview:
- Salary - £32 528 per year
- Location – Sevenoaks, Kent
- Hours per week- 39 hrs
- Shifts – Monday to Friday
Key Duties of Registered Manager
Learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties, and who may display behaviours that challenge in all aspects of daily living.
- Deliver a high level of quality support to service users, ensuring each service is safe, effective, caring, and always responsive to the service users’ needs
- Manage and monitor staff of the services, ensuring effective utilisation of resources to enable the provision of good quality, safe and effective services.
- To ensure that all statutory, regulatory and company Policy requirements are monitored, managed, and achieved.
- To ensure that the assessment process of new customers is carried out promptly and effectively, by appropriate team members, ensuring the effective completion of their placement and transition and that the required liaison with commissioners, staff, and others is completed.
- To participate in events, meetings etc., where the intention is to publicise the organisation, and to support the marketing of available services.
- Encourage innovative practices and approaches throughout the organisation, working with senior management, and other managers to identify areas of diversification that may provide value to the organisation, and those who use our services.
Skills Required for Registered Manager
- Holding a registration with CQC and maintaining a minimum rating of good practice leading
- Report writing
- Ensuring the health and welfare of the individuals in your responsibility and ensuring policies/procedures and systems are in place to safeguard individuals from abuse
- Regular Audits
- Leading regular meetings and reviews
- Ensuring the service is safe and that all Health and safety requirements are maintained
- Medication ordering, storing, monitoring etc.
- Staff supervisions, appraisals, managing staff performance and general observations
- Managing finances and completing monthly returns
- Monthly reporting
- Completion of rota's
- IT skills and completing Organisational systems such as people planner and care planning
- Communicating and liaising with outside professionals and agencies
- Conducting investigations where required
- On call duties
