Gap healthcare is working with a highly reputable care provider and we are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to support a large care home in Southend.
Main Purpose of the Role
- To lead the organisation’s flagship service, providing residential care and discharge to assess service, the only service of its kind in the city. The service is continuing to evolve to meet changing needs and plays a vital role in enabling the discharge of people from hospital.
- To ensure that the service is well led, safe, and effective and that the service has staff that care and are responsive to people’s needs whilst maintaining high standards ensuring full compliance with the Care Quality Commission.
- To ensure a seamless service with health and social care professionals to manage a smooth pathway for the large number of people moving in or out of the service.
- To lead a large capable and committed staff team in delivering high quality care services, ensuring the staff remain motivated by acting as a visible and hands on leader ensuring detailed knowledge of the service, staff, and residents.

The perfect candidate will have:
- A level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar position, ideally in a large Care Home
- Thorough understanding of CQC standards
- Commissioning, business development and budgeting experience
- Experience in supporting elderly people living with dementia in a variety of different settings.
The role comes with a range of benefits which can be discussed during an interview and the salary is up to £60,000 per annum.

My client is well established within the care sector, with over 30 care homes and are looking for a Registered Home Manager to oversee the service and further improve the high standards that are embedded in their values and service delivery. The home is designed to meet the needs of its service users and provides accommodation for 56 residents with dementia.
- Salary – Up to £50,000 per annum
- Hours – 40 hours
- Area – Newport, Shropshire
- Permanent position
Responsibilities Registered Home Manager
- To manage all aspects of the home to ensure that CQC regulations and policies are always adhered to.
- To oversee the financial budgets and staffing for the home.
- To ensure the safety and dignity of service users is upheld at all times.
- To oversee staff supervisions and staff development.
- To write and implement care plans and risk assessments.
- To promote values and standards of the service provider.
Skills Required Registered Home Manager
- You will need to have previous experience as a Registered Home Manager or a similar senior role within the care industry.
- NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care
- A Registered PIN would be desirable but is not essential for the role.
- Must have previous experience with dementia care.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, guidelines, and inspections
- Must be a commutable distance from Newport, Shropshire

- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Flexibility regarding working hours to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
