We're recruiting a Community Healthcare Assistant to join our care team working days between the hours of 08:00 – 21:00 as part of a shared rota within our client's own home in the North Hertfordshire area.

You will be a key member of the Multidisciplinary Team, caring for our client with care needs within their own home.

Enhanced training will be provided to ensure you are equipped to meet the care needs of our client alongside a supportive supernumerary / shadowing period where you will work with a mentor and our trainers to understand the role and responsibilities of the role. It can be very physical working with people with limited mobility, providing personal care (feeding, washing, and showering) and although challenging, it is highly rewarding. You’ll be supported by a team of colleagues ready to lend a hand and work together to a common goal.

Overview

  • Salary – £10 or £11 per hour (Depends on experience)
  • Hours of Work – Full Time Permanent Position
  • Shifts – from 8am until 9pm
  • Area – North Hertfordshire area

  • Access to his own vehicle

Responsibilities of Community Healthcare Assistant

  • Assisting with daily living activities such as eating, showering, and using the toilet
  • Utilising equipment to move patients when necessary
  • Helping tidy the patient’s home
  • Taking the patient’s vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Talking to patients and reassuring them
  • Attending meetings with other healthcare professionals
  • Assisting nurses and other staff when needed
  • Adhering to professional standards
  • Delivering reports to Case Managers and reviewing any important changes in the patient’s condition
