As the Administrative Assistant, you will be providing support to the RSO Management Team including scheduling shifts and deploying and allocating resources, whilst being the first point of contact for the RSO team, Operational managers and staff, support services and external agencies.

  • Salary - £11.67 per hour
  • Hours – 37.5 per week
  • Area – Hybrid working in Melbourn, Cambridgeshire
  • Temporary position initially until 30th April 2024

Responsibilities

  • Undertake secretarial and administrative duties using Microsoft Office Packages
  • Communicate with operational staff managers effectively.
  • Manage diaries for, and on behalf of, the RSO Management Team, exercising discretion in making appointments and coordinating diaries.
  • Organise managers’ meetings including recording of the minutes and ensuring agendas and action logs are maintained and circulated.
  • Ensure that the updating of emergency, pre-planned, and other plans for the department are placed within the Trust IT SharePoint for access by all RSO staff.
  • Maintain a log of decision and outcomes during major incidents or special planned events.

Skills Required

  • 12 months previous experience working withing a similar role is essential.
  • 3 GCSEs Grade A-C including English and Math or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment, on your own initiative.
  • Previous experience working within the NHS is desirable.
  • Ability to deal with confidential or sensitive issues with discretion.
  • Flexible and adaptable work approach.
  • Sound level of computer literacy & experience in the use of databases, word-processing, spreadsheets, and email.
