• To provide a caring, supportive and nurturing environment in which residents can feel secure and free from harm.
• Ensuring that each resident’s care plan is followed and amended as appropriate to reflect their changing needs.
• Collaborating with the nursing and senior staff to assess strengths and capabilities of each resident in regard to activities of daily living.
• Ensuring that any risk assessments have been carried out prior to any new planned activity or event.
• Devising simple and safe activities which encourage movement and maintain joint flexibility and functional use of hands and fingers in activities.

Skills Required

• Previous experience as an activities coordinator and experience developing engaging activities programmes is required for this role.
• Previous experience working within an adult care home is essential.
• Caring personality and nature
• Positive attitude and passion to help others.
• Flexibility with shift patterns
• Basic IT and computer skills
• A commutable distance from Flitwick, Bedfordshire.
