Support Worker - Mental Health - Diss, Norfolk.

We are looking for experienced and driven Healthcare Assistants to join a 32 bed, low to medium secure mental health hospital in Diss.

Whether you want a few shifts a week or full time as a temp worker, we can help! Days and nights available, and the successful candidates will be assisting service users with Autism / ASD, challenging behaviours, learning disabilities and profound and multiple learning disabilities.

Essential Skills, Experience & Attitude:

• A minimum of 6 months experience working as a Healthcare Assistant.
• An understanding of the needs of adults with learning disabilities who are vulnerable within society.
• Able to undertake safe manual handling practices, including possession of current practical manual handling training and certification.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Observant and sensitive to a Service User's needs.
• Ability to work autonomously and productively as part of a team.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, manual handling and health & safety standards and practices.
