Healtcare Assistant - Day Shift
gap healthcare are recruiting for experienced Healthcare Assistants to join the team for a temporary assignment located just outside of Norwich, near the airport. The position is within a residential care home, where you will be responsible for providing first class care and support to residents on the day shift. The home caters to residents with dementia, end-of-life and respite care.
This is an exciting opportunity for any Healthcare Assistants who need to be flexible when picking and choosing shifts.
Day shifts are 07:00-19:00 / 08:00-20:00
Waking night shifts are also available on other assignments*
Duties of a Healthcare Assistant:
-Provide personal care to residents with a wide range of needs, illnesses and disabilities, as and when required
-Assist with the cleaning of the home (turning down of beds, laundry, etc…)
-Getting to know residents and providing them with emotional support and care, which contributes to their wellbeing and combatting loneliness
-Safe administration of medication
-Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
-Help to create individual care plans and monitor residents for any changes, in appetite, attention span, fluid in-take, etc…
Requirements to be a Healthcare Assistant:
-Right to work in the UK
-Previous experience as either a Carer or Healthcare Assistant
-A driving licence would be advantageous, however is not essential
-A kind and caring nature
-Strong work ethic and ability to work well both as part of a team and on ones' own initiative
Location: Norwich, Norfolk
Pay: £8.75ph - £13.00ph
Contract: Agency temporary
